Back to News
Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to excellence, following its recent Ofsted inspection, which confirms that the school has taken effective action to maintain the outstanding standards identified at its previous inspection.
The inspection highlighted that the school is a "wonderful place to play and learn," where pupils feel happy and safe. They trust the adults to look after them and know that bullying is rare and dealt with promptly. Parents and carers share this positive view.
Both LEO Academy Trust and the school have high ambitions for all pupils. Children get a fantastic start in the engaging early years. The excellent quality of education and pastoral care ensures pupils are well-prepared for secondary school.
Inspectors noted that the broad and engaging curriculum is delivered through highly skilled teaching, providing a strong grounding in key concepts. Teachers carefully select resources and expertly use technology to enhance learning, designing clear and accessible tasks. Reading is a priority, and children learn sounds confidently. Staff effectively support pupils with SEND or those acquiring English.
The school promotes pupils' personal development exceptionally well, offering opportunities to broaden horizons through pupil leadership teams, digital leaders, and the eco-squad. A comprehensive calendar of trips and special events is also available. Pupils behave exceptionally well, following widely understood policies. The "LEO Explorers" initiative supports pupils in developing their character.
The school works highly effectively with staff, providing optimal professional development opportunities and sharing best practices across the trust, while also reducing workload.
