Rainbow Risers (Molesey Drive Site)

At Rainbow Risers we provide our children with an enjoyable, safe, caring and homely environment in which children enjoy coming to before school. Rainbow Risers is open from 7.30am to 8.30am each school day – you and your child will be welcomed by the staff at the Rainbow House Gate on Molesey Drive.

Breakfast

We follow the whole school Food and Nutrition Policy, which recognises the important connection between a healthy diet and a child’s ability to learn effectively and achieve high standards in school.

Children can choose from a range of cereals, toast with jam, marmite or honey, fruit, yoghurts, water, milk and fruit juice. Children with special dietary requirements are catered for.

Activities

After breakfast children are encouraged to engage in activities and socialise with their friends, from jigsaws, colouring and lego to reading, using the computer and imaginative play.

At 8.30am the children are taken by a member of staff to their classroom ready to start the school day.

Children can choose from a range of cereals, toast with jam, marmite or honey, fruit, yoghurts, water, milk and fruit juice. Children with special dietary requirements are catered for.

Activities 

After breakfast children are encouraged to engage in activities and socialise with their friends, from jigsaws, colouring and lego to reading, using the computer for work or games and even a short time on the games console.

At 8.30am the children are then allowed to go to their classroom for their early morning work time.

Fees and Booking 

Daily – £6.00

Siblings – £4.50 (per day)

After-School Clubs

Chestnuts After-School Club

Our Chestnuts After School Club is located in Rainbow House at our Molesey Drive site and is on offer to children from age four to the end of Year 6. The club is open from the end of school day until 6.30pm from Monday to Friday (except for inset days, bank holidays and school holidays).

Chestnuts After School Club is committed to providing a child orientated club that cares for all areas of development in a safe and secure environment. The programme of activities is varied and challenging, making sure that all play opportunities are offered at every session.

The club is part of the Jancett Playsafe Group and follows a structured routine to accommodate the environment and the needs of the children. Each child can choose freely what they want to do and are invited to join in activities, which at all times adhere to both equal opportunities and health and safety.
