Which other professionals might support children with SEND?
Collaboration is important when supporting families, children and young people who have additional needs. Below is a range of professionals who may support, depending on a child’s needs and whether they are at universal support, targeted support, personalised support or highly personalised support.
Class-based: class teacher and teaching assistants
School-based: SENDCo, principal, specialist teachers, ELSA
Professionals from within the LEO inclusion team: Inclusion Trust leads, SEMH lead, autism specialist, Trust Sendco, SEND Director
External professionals commissioned by LEO Academy Trust: Speech and language therapist, occupational therapist, educational psychologist, counsellor, drama therapist, wellbeing dogs
External agencies: CAMHS, LEA specialist teachers and therapists
